When Tobias Muldoon arrived at the Merriweather household, Cleveland asked him of his identity and why he was there. When Kitty welcomed him in, Cleveland removed his coat on the order of Kitty. Hearts of Steel #2

After Tobias gave his tale of giant mechanical beings, Cleveland brought the Merriweathers and Muldoon tea. When Ravage, following Tobias, crashed through the window, Cleveland followed his panicking masters and their guest, Samuel Clemens, out of the mansion. When they stopped running, Cleveland lit Clemens's cigar. The very same cigar was used to set on fire the gas that leaked into the Merriweather mansion, which sent a singed Ravage flying. Cleveland witnessed the entire spectacle and seemed to mourn the loss of the household he served in. Hearts of Steel #3
