Fearswoop (ROTF)

This article is about the bright orange Decepticon jet from Revenge of the Fallen. For the bright yellow Decepticon jet from Generation 1, see Fearswoop (G1).
Fearswoop is a Decepticon from the Revenge of the Fallen portion of the live-action film series continuity family.

Fearswoop is pretty dangerous, if only for the fact that he's a practical jokester whose pranks end up going too far. His capers always cross the line and end up causing trouble for those around him. Now, his latest juvenile exploit has caused him to mutate into a monolithic titan, thanks to the power of a mysterious artifact. This has done nothing to curb his desires, and he's wasted no time in cutting a swath of destruction across the planet Earth, all for his own delinquent amusement.

Let's admit it: It's hard to take an evil alien robot seriously when he shares the same color scheme as Hobbes.
  • The Fury of Fearswoop (Figure multi-pack, 2009)
    • Accessories: 2 flame-shaped projectiles
The Walmart-exclusive Fearswoop is a redeco of the 2007 Transformers movie toyline's Dreadwing, transforming into a modified MiG-29 "Fulcrum" fighter jet (with a VTOL fan and what looks like to be an undercarriage sensor pod). His flame projectiles serve dual purpose in both modes, as afterburner exhaust flames in vehicle mode and as flamethrow projectiles in robot mode. His chest also has a spring-loaded Automorph gimmick, opening up and revealing more robot parts.
Though Fearswoop is very obviously a homage to the Generation 2 character Hooligan, due to trademark reasons he is named after Fearswoop, an obscure late European Generation 1 Trakkon.
Fearswoop was only avilable in the Walmart-exclusive "The Fury of Fearswoop" 3-pack with "battle damaged" versions of Legends class Sideswipe and Legends class Mudflap. The sizes of the Legends class Autobots compared to the much larger Deluxe class Fearswoop is one of the better representations of real-life scale in Transformers toys.
