Tykos is a moon from the Generation 2 portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Tykos is the third moon of E'Brutoc. It is populated by a mechanoid race and sports a thriving chemical mining industry. Or, at least...it used to.

On Tykos, a group of miners either discovered or manufactured a special gas called rheanimum, capable of rendering metals super-dense and heavily resistant to damage. Naturally, this miracle substance came to Megatron's attention, and he brought his Decepticons to Tykos to steal the gas. It proved a successful trial mission for his newly created warriors, the Rotor Force and Laser Rods, and the miners' meager defenses were quickly devastated. The Decepticons recovered a large number of gas canisters and proceeded on their way. New Dawn
