Alpha Trion reveals that the TransTech aren't so nicey-nice... and neither is he.

Synopsis

As they prepare to head down to Level 39, Alpha Trion notes that they're short one mech. Skyfall and Landquake are ready to fight if need be to find their friend, but Alpha Trion tells them that it's not an option, as his disappearance means the TransTech have taken him. Instead, he offers to show them what he's doing "to resist their evil"...

Breakaway has been strapped up and gagged in the lab of Shockwave, who explains that he registers as a Level 5 threat and contains some "highly desirable traits". As sinister-looking claws, needles and blades unfold, Megatron authorizes Shockwave to proceed, though he requests the scientist try and keep the prisoner intact.

Alpha Trion explains that his home dimension was a peaceful one like that of Axiom Nexus, with the Decepticons defeated long ago, but sabotage transported him to Axiom Nexus. The TransTech deemed his world a threat, as its people would not stand for TransTech-style tyranny. Access to his dimension was cut off, and he was told it was impossible to return.

At first, Alpha Trion believed the promises of peace and hoped for future cooperation, but later realized that he and countless others had been abducted, hijacked to be studied and researched. He has detected a ring of satellites encircling the planet, broadcasting a harmonic that renders offworlders docile and causes them to lose interest in leaving. Alpha Trion and a few others have modified themselves to resist the wave, and Alpha Trion is preparing a means of revenge. These new arrivals are the last piece of the puzzle.

As Landquake and Skyfall debate whom they should be trusting, Alpha Trion opens a door to reveal the instruments of his revenge: a room full of shattered robotic corpses hanging by chains from the ceiling...

Quotes

Alpha Trion: "Where is your friend?"
Landquake: "Breakaway!"
Skyfall: "What?! This dimension sucks!"

"I do not trust this Autobot."
"Neither do I, but what he says makes sense, even if the way he says it makes him sound like he's auditioning for something."

Landquake and Skyfall size up their host.
