Does any one know why Mirage's RM release ic called "Rijie"? I had heard it involved a dispite with the owner of the team the racer G1 Mirage was based on, but has this been confirmed? --FortMax 20:41, 13 April 2006 (UTC) Mirage's original name was "Ligier", right? Ligier was either the manufacturer or the sponsor of the original car type, yeah, so they went with "Rijie", which might as well be "Ligier" in Japanese, it just looks retarded in English. -hx 00:26, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

Two things - first, the justification for the "sounds like" change. While Mirage does sound something like Bing Crosby, he also sounds like Dean Martin, and the fact that Welker presumably based the voice on a brief character sketch like "irresponsible playboy" means that's almost certainly what he intended. Someone should ask him someday.

Second, curiously enough, RM Mirage's instructions explicitly call him "Ligier" in English, even though the box calls him "Rijie". -LV 00:03, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

I shall just point out that the new "animated series" text was copied over by the anonymous user in question from Wikipedia, but I wrote it (well, apart from that gubbins about Mirage's alleged role in season 3 and his fragile toy), so I'm savvy with it being up 'ere. - Chris McFeely 20:21, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

Ah, okay. I have a feeling Beachcomber's text is copied too, then, and since it's not in the same style, I have a feeling it's not yours... --ItsWalky 20:24, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
Forsooth, sir, you speak true. - Chris McFeely 20:26, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

Is the "Plasma Injection Energy stands for pie" a placeholder joke until someone feels like linking to Plasma Energy?

Before any of us had seen pics of Classics Mirage, Kyde had posted that Classics Mirage had pie. Hence the joke. --FortMax 04:33, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
