The Decepticons plot to smash the Autobots by luring them into an Autobot Smasher, which will smash them!

Synopsis

You have got to be kidding me.

Meet the Autobots! They're nice. Meet the Decepticons! They're not nice!

Thundercracker has a great idea to get rid of the Autobots - lure them into a junkyard auto-smashing machine. Inexplicably, Soundwave thinks it's brilliant, and Rumble and Ravage agree to help. In fact, Ravage has a plan...

Meanwhile, Gears is hauling a trailer full of potatoes to market. Selling the starchy tubers will provide a much needed shot of income for the Autobots, meaning they can purchase more vital gasoline and oil. Spotting him, the Decepticons set their trap. Soundwave blocks the road and sets up a false detour... one that leads right to the car crusher. Since the crusher is so obvious, the Decepticons decorate it with some throw pillows and signs reading "AUTOBOT REST STOP." Gears, feeling particularly weary after lugging potatoes all that distance, stops to rest his tires, when the Decepticons spring their trap.

Kerblammo. Gears is pancaked, but before the Decepticons can lure another Autobot to their junkyard of death, the whole Autobot team bursts in, ready to fight. And fight they do. Sideswipe kicks up dust to annoy Ravage, Thundercracker tries to "hit Mirage from behind," and Rumble's earthquake power backfires hilariously, sending him and Soundwave plummeting to certain doom within the depths of the Earth.

After some handy repair work by Ratchet, Gears is good as new and the Earth remains safe. Presumably, the potatoes are ruined.

Notes

Holy crap, dude.
  • Did we mention that Ravage can talk in this one? He's downright chatty, in fact.
  • Gears totally picks up a freaking elephant.
  • The plot is cribbed whole-cloth from just about every Wile E. Coyote bit ever.
  • If you want to competely destroy the priceless collectible that is The Autobot Smasher!, the back cover features a cut-out standee of Sideswipe.
  • POTATOES?!
