New Subcategories

I've noticed there are a few pages with a "Novels" category. Was that a category before the crash? Should we create it as a subcategory of Books? --Loudstone 03:08, 20 April 2009 (EDT)

I'm wondering if we should add an "Activity Books" or similar subcategory for things like Look and Find Transformers (and possibly make "Coloring Books" a subcategory of that)? --Loudstone 03:18, 20 April 2009 (EDT)

Our books and videos sections are... well, just bad. Really need some work done to them. I'm completley for splitting up "activity" books into a sub-category. --M Sipher 03:26, 20 April 2009 (EDT)
I'd be willing to set up some of that, but I don't know the process of getting such things approved. How would I start such a process? --Loudstone 16:06, 21 April 2009 (EDT)

Resurrecting this conversation - We definitely need to fix our categories. Storybooks as a category (with multipath adventures as a subcategory), Activity Books (with coloring books and maybe sticker books as subcategories), plus the existing Novels and Reference Books. -hx 10:38, 12 November 2009 (EST)

Japan!

So I'm in the process of cataloging my various Japanese Transformers books... but I don't know what over half of them are called. With the hope of rectifying this, I've taken quickie photos of every cover.

I'm not done with my collages yet, but I figured this project might be of interest to the wiki, since we only have a handful of Japanese books covered here and a fair amount of this stuff is obscure to the English-speaking world (2010 coloring book!). I do have larger versions of all the photos if a given title isn't readable in the current resolution.

While I haven't scanned many of the actual covers as yet, I did have the piece of mind to scan the back cover of the 2010 storybook, which offers a look at a bunch of other books I don't have.

I am fascinated by the lower left-hand book in particular, because it seems to have cartoon Galvatron cosplaying as toy Galvatron.

So, uh... if anyone wants to lend a hand with translation help, by all means, it would be appreciated! In the meantime, I'll work on getting the rest of the photos online. --Monzo 06:19, 12 November 2009 (EST)
