Talk:David Wise
From MediaWiki
Did David Wise even write for The Real Ghostbusters? It's not on his IMDB profile, and he's not among the episode writers listed on Wikipedia's episode guide. --abates 04:20, 25 November 2009 (EST)
- The episode in question, "Adventures in Slime and Space," was written by David Gerrold. I think Zob may have assumed it was a pseudonym for Wise (who did sell that script repeatedly ~that timeframe) but David Gerrold is actually the same guy who wrote The Trouble with Tribbles, so I have to chalk up the uncanny similarity to coincidence.
So no, I don't think Wise ever worked on RGB. -Derik 04:50, 25 November 2009 (EST)
- I imagine script reuse probably happened quite a lot at the time, given the amount of scripts they were expected to have to turn out! I tracked down a copy of Wise's The Jewel of Targon episode for Mighty Orbots, and it has a similar monster in it to the one in Secret of Omega Supreme (as well as name checks for dilithium, adamantium, and the line "reverse the polarity"!) though the episode itself wasn't similar enough to call it a recycle. --abates 05:13, 25 November 2009 (EST)
