Will we have seperate pages for the Micromasters that were Decepticons in the Hasbro releases but Autobots in Japan? --FortMax 03:21, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
Nnn. What an annoying question. They have the same names, and same colors, but a different faction. Do they behave differently? Is Autobot Greasepit, for example, different, as a character, than Decepticon Greasepit?-Derik 03:27, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

I dunno, man. I think, say, Fangry and Wilder are distinctly different guys. What about Siren and Go Shooter? One's a human piloting a mech! Apache and B'Boom? I guess I'd have to know more about the two versions of Greasepit. Are they really the same guy? --ItsWalky 16:47, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

- Most of the former-Decepticon J-Micros have the same names as the Hasbro versions. There's the occasional insipid apporximation (Grasspit, Starcloud, Windrim), but by and larger, the same damn names. --M Sipher 21:14, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

The point is, should there be a different page for the Japanese version of, say, Skyhopper, than for the Western version, or should we just discuss the differences in subheadings on the same page, the way we handle differences between (for example) Cartoon G1 Prime, Marvel G1 Prime, and IDW G1 Prime?--G.B. - Perhaps Skyhopper wasn't the best example, but given the same name, I guess I'll stick with the same argument. I have no real stake in this, as I tend to focus more on comic-related stuff. Still, I expect that fewer pages is ultimately less confusing than more. This will (by necessity) be a complex project whatever we do. Either way, I yield to the majority.--G.B. Let's see... We don't need to worry about the MM combiner bases or transports, as those weren't released in Japan. The Sports Car and Battle Patrols were recolored for their Japanese release. Many of the 1989 MMs were renamed for Japanese release as well, and all were released as Autobots except the Race Track Partol and Skystalker (who was a mail-away in 1989 as Thunder Arrow). The two Micromaster Bases (Skyhopper and Grondshaker) should have diffrent pages for the Japanese releases because not only were the bases recolored, they came with diffrent micromaster figures.
The '90 patrols and Squads were identical to the Japanese release toy wise, and all but two were released in Japan in '91 (the other 2 were released in '90). Again, all releases were Autobots, and the Squads were broken into groups of four. Prime Saber's page does not have the Japanese names for those figures for some reason, and I don't know of any other site that has the indifidual Japanese names. --FortMax 18:04, 18 April 2006 (UTC) , who apoligizes for the Wall Of Text
