Storm Surge is a Decepticon from the Cybertron portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family via the Universe (2008 franchise).

Storm Surge is a hovercraft. His idea of battle tactics is to spew a confusing and overwhelming barrage of firepower into the air from the surface of the water. He was put in charge by Megatron.

Storm Surge is identical to the live-action movie Storm Surge toy, which in turn is a redeco of Cybertron Shortround. Storm Surge transforms into a hovercraft, and inserting a Cyber Planet Key into his key jack swings a pair of (non-firing) torpedo racks up into firing position. This gimmick is available in both vehicle and robot modes. There is also a small, non-firing gun that can be held in either of his claws or can be mounted on the top of his hovercraft mode.

During transformation, snapping the torso into place forces the head up, making it easier to twist into place. He also has wheels on the underside of his vehicle mode, allowing him to be rolled on smooth surfaces.

The shoulder pieces on the Universe version are reversed from the Movie 2007 release, making the arms not rest flat in alternate mode.

Storm Surge was packaged with Air Raid as a Walmart exclusive Black Friday release for 2009.

The movie release of this toy was repurposed as Shattered Glass Seaspray
