The live-action film series is an umbrella term that refers to series of theatrical feature films directed by Michael Bay beginning in 2007, including the vast amount of ancillary fiction created for it.

The second film in the series, titled Revenge of the Fallen, was released on June 24, 2009. A third film is planned for released in 2011[2]
