Seattle is the largest city in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States, with 3.8 Million People in its metropolitan area as of 2005. It is often referred to as the capital of the state of Washington, due to its size and relative importance, but that honor is given to the city of Olympia.

Seattle is mentioned as the closest major city to the crash site of the Autobot starship, the Ark.
Generation One Cartoon
In 1984, the city was threatened by an advancing Decepticon attack, lead by Menasor and Megatron, who was using the Key to Vector Sigma. The city was saved thanks to the combined might of Omega Supreme and Superion.
