Rampage is an extremely powerful Transmetal Predacon from the Beast Wars.
Rampage (also known as Protoform X) is an awesomely powerful (and incredibly brutal) Predacon, easily among the most fearsome from the entire Beast Era. His alternate forms include a King Crab and a Tank-like vehicle.

Rampage was created by a Maximal experiment to recreate Starscreams mutant Spark. Though argueably successful in this regard, the creation (then called Protoform X) was unstable. Point in fact, he was criminally insane. Due to his temperment, he was sentenced to life-imprisonment on Starbase Rugby. Unfortunantly, he managed to break free, slaughtered every single being on the base, and ate most of the guards. Afterward he was subdued and placed in the cargo-hold of the Axalon, and Optimus Primal was instructed to dump him into a black hole.
Rampage was in one of the several Stasis Pods jettisoned by Optimus when the Axalon was damaged by Megatrons Predacons, and only fell out of orbit late in the second season. Rampage activated himself and promptly set out to terrorize all nearby Transformers. After being defeated, Megatron discovered the unconscious Rampage, removed a portion of his indestructible Spark, forcing Rampage to swear fealty through torture.
