- Omega Supreme is an Autobot from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Omega Supreme is one of the largest Autobots there is. He isn't much for words, preferring his massive frame and equally massive weapons to do the talking for him. Omega is the last line of defense for the Autobots, a titanic guardian robot capable of instilling fear and panic into the sparks of Decepticons that dare face him on the field of battle.
Except Buzzsaw. Kill that little guy, it just makes him angry.

Millions of years ago, Omega Supreme was a member of the legendary Guardian robots, and was charged with defending Crystal City, the most spectacular city on Cybertron. He befriended the Constructicons, the city's creators. However, as it would happen, the Constructicons were attacked by Megatron's Robo-Smasher and converted into Decepticons. The now-evil Constructicons convinced Omega to leave his post to help defend another city, and promised to look after the city in his stead. When he left, they demolished the Crystal City, to Omega Supreme's horror. He tracked them down and tried to change the builders back into Autobots, but the process was irreversible, and the treacherous Constructicons lured Omega into an ambush by the Smasher. The Robo-Smasher attacked Omega, but it was destroyed before it could convert him.
Some time after these events transpired — after the launch of the Ark and the Nemesis — the Constructicons left Cybertron in a starship and tried to locate the missing Megatron. Omega Supreme pursued them, "for millions of years, across the galaxies"; eventually, the Constructicons rejoined Megatron on Earth, and Omega Supreme followed them there, still seeking revenge. He got his chance at revenge when the Constructicons started mining an asteroid that turned out to be the egg of an strange creature. Omega left the creature to its own devices, which would have resulted in it devouring San Francisco. However, Optimus Prime convinced Omega to lead the creature back to its asteroid, which would sustain it. Omega lost his chance at revenge, but he did his duty. The Secret of Omega Supreme
In late 1985, the Autobots used Omega Supreme to follow the Decepticons back to Cybertron when they intended to use Vector Sigma to create a new group of Decepticon warriors. After failing to stop the Decepticons from creating the Stunticons, the Autobots created a new team of their own to counter the new threat, the Aerialbots. As Omega Supreme escaped Cybertron, he was hit by weapons fire from the Centurion droids, and once he safely disembarked his passengers on Earth, he catastrophically exploded. Ratchet, Wheeljack and Sparkplug Witwicky connected Omega Supreme's mind to the Ark's life support unit while they set about putting the giant back together. The arrogant Aerialbots, unimpressed with both the Autobots and the humans they protected, refused to help their comrades in defeating the Decepticons until their group leader Silverbolt showed them how Sparkplug was able to disregard his fatigue and continue repairing Omega Supreme simply because of his concern for a friend's well being. Soon afterwards, the Aerialbots were facing defeat as Superion at the hands of the Stunticon combined form, Menasor, when the newly-repaired Omega Supreme suddenly appeared and helped them defeat the combiner and send the Decepticons packing. He transported the Autobots and the Aerialbots back to Cybertron when they detected strange energy readings emanating from the planet. The trip expended his energy so he was forced to sit out the mission. While the Autobots dealt with a time machine sending the Aerialbots to the past, the Decepticons reacted one of Omega's fellow Guardian Robots. After the Aerialbots returned from their trip through time, Silverbolt handed over some power packs they had taken from the Cybertron's Golden Age to refuel Omega. War Dawn
After the coming of Unicron, his space transport was fulfilled by Sky Lynx, though he still carried out occasional missions. He transported several Autobots to Junkion to investigate the strange behaviour of the Junkions. He was shot down by Cyclonus, Scourge and the Sweeps crashing the Autobots on an asteroid. After being repaired Omega quickly turned the tide of the battle. On arriving on Junkion Omega again battled the Decepticons. He was knocked down by a blast from Galvatron's cannon mode but recovered and battled the Decepticons until Blaster asked him to bring him to altitude to counter the Quintesson signals. Almost immediately after Grapple was brought online on Earth, Optimus Prime had a secret project in mind for the architect. Rock and Roll-Out! Constructed by Grapple and given life by Prime's Creation Matrix, Omega Supreme was unveiled in front of the Autobots as the Ark's last line of defense. With Omega completed, the Autobots were now free to leave the base en masse to attack the Decepticons, an advantage Optimus Prime took advantage of immediately. As the Autobots attacked the Decepticon headquarters, Megatron, unaware of Omega Supreme's birth, took Skywarp, Starscream, Thundercracker, Frenzy, Rumble, Buzzsaw, and Laserbeak with him to attack the Ark, which he believed to be unguarded. At first Megatron underestimated the tank and rocket ship sitting outside their target, but Omega Supreme transformed and within moments destroyed all of them one by one without pause. Laserbeak managed to escape with a wounded Megatron back to the Decepticons. Command Performances!
Early on in the first Galvatron encounter, the Autobots openly talked about siccing Omega Supreme on the Decepticons. And then never did so, despite it being a smart idea and knowing it was an option. Target: 2006
Though Omega Supreme continued to guard the Ark, he didn't seem to stay quite as huge as he used to be. He could soon fit into the Ark, where watched with other Autobots as Ratchet tried to repair Optimus Prime, who had fallen in battle. At Prime's funeral, Omega placed his body in his final resting place, a spaceship casket which they shot into space. Funeral for a Friend! Omega entered the Ark again when he and other high-ranking Autobots assembled to nominate Prime's replacement, and he suggested courage as a valuable trait for their imaginary candidate. When Trypticon attacked, the Decepticon carpeted the entrance to the Ark with sonic scrambler mines, disabling Omega and the other Autobots within; Omega was thus unable to square off against the giant. Fortunately, they were rescued by Grimlock and the other Dinobots, a turn of events that persuaded him, along with the other Autobots, to support Grimlock as their new leader. King of the Hill! Later, Omega Supreme acted as a sort of Master of Ceremonies when Blaster and Grimlock were due to fight it out for Autobot leadership on the moon. He had shrunk more by then, but once Ratbat's Decepticons surprise-attacked them, he seemed bigger again. Omega survived the battle seemingly uninjured. Totaled!
Omega traveled with the rest of the Autobots to the Arctic to investigate a distress signal sent by Buster Witwicky. Soon, they were ambushed by two Decepticon armies, and Buzzsaw cannon-blasted Omega Supreme—and Omega actually seemed to be getting knocked over. This was all revealed as a plot by Starscream to divert both factions away from his attempts to absorb the powers of the Underbase. Omega traveled to Buenos Aires as part of a team led jointly by Fortress Maximus and Soundwave. When Fortress Maximus was in danger, he jumped to his rescue—however, the Underbase-powered Starscream, recalling his earlier defeat at Omega's hands, gleefully killed him. Dark Star

In an alternate future of 2006, Omega Supreme flew a group of Autobots to Junkion to investigate some strange goings-on there. He fought off alien spacecraft that were attacking the Autobots under hypnosis. He also battled with "Sweeps" and helped disrupt a Quintesson hypnosis signal by flying Blaster into the air to broadcast soothing music. The Big Broadcast of 2006 (US)
Dreamwave comics continuity
Some time after the departure of the Ark, Omega Supreme and Jetfire were part of one of the last Autobot space programs, tasked with containing the expansion of the Decepticons to other worlds and, more importantly, to find Optimus Prime and the crew of the Ark. After falling out with the other members of the operation, Jetfire and Omega detected what they thought was the energy signature of the Ark, only to be attacked by a mysterious, powerful assailant. They ultimately ended up buried under Antarctica on Earth. Original Sin Millions of years later, Jetfire remotely reactivated Omega Supreme in an attempt to defeat the powerful and insane Sunstorm. Though Omega Supreme managed to capture the weakened Sunstorm thanks to Ratchet's energy siphon, Starscream destroyed the device to enable his own escape, reactivating Sunstorm and truly commencing the battle between the two powerhouses. Omega was ultimately successful in overpowering Sunstorm in a straight fight, but when he retracted his damaged visor in order to examine his quarry, Sunstorm blasted him right in the face with a burst of solar radiation, instantly knocking him off line. The Omega Effect While he was recuperating from his damage, he shared Cliffjumper's concerns over the danger their friends were in and how useless they felt. Omega Supreme served as security during an Autobot peace ceremony on Cybertron. When Serpent O.R.'s forces attacked, he transformed and shot down Astrotrain, but soon found himself surrounded by Predaking, Piranacon and Menasor. Omega Supreme is largely a non-participant in the war between the Autobots and Decepticons. Predating the notion of factions and having survived two Primes, he remains in seclusion in a specially-shielded artificial asteroid within the Muta-Gaath Nebula. Though nominally allied with the Autobots, he remains outside of the conflict for fear of escalating it due to the firepower he commands. Instead, he exists as a resource to Primes in times of doubt. However, he did participate in the Autobot/Decepticon battle to stop Thunderwing, alongside Optimus Prime, Megatron, and Trypticon. Stormbringer issue 1
Omega Supreme is one of the few living Transformers to remember the first Ark. Believing that the Transformer race should exercise a slow inner growth through intellectual contemplation, he frequently clashed with the expansionist Nova Prime, who felt Cybertron's destiny lay in the conquest of other worlds. After the Ark's departure and Nova Prime's disappearance, Omega Supreme discovered a horrific creation of theirs: Monstructor. He sealed the gestalt in a dimensionally-displaced prison to prevent it from devastating Cybertron and escalating the burgeoning conflict. Centuries later, Optimus Prime came to him for advice. While the two were talking, Monstructor — somehow freed from captivity — attacked. Omega Supreme told Optimus Prime the truth about himself, Nova Prime, and Monstructor. When the Dead Universe Transformers began attacking the Autobots, Omega confirmed the identities of Galvatron and Cyclonus for Jetfire, informing him that they too had been aboard the first Ark millions of years ago. Spotlight: Hardhead
Omega Supreme would appear some time later, after the Decepticons had executed a galaxy-wide assault on Autobot outposts, whose security systems had all been shut down by Bombshell's use of the Headmaster technology present within Hunter O'Nion. Alerted by a presumed futile distress call sent by Hot Rod, Omega arrived on Cybertron to assist the group of Autobot survivors, who were stranded there and about to be devoured by the Swarm. Omega's arrival on the battlefield almost instantly turned the tide, and he apologised for taking so long. When questioned about his survival (Prowl stated the Decepticons would've sent an entire army to take down Omega), Omega gave a simple explanation: "I am Omega Supreme." At Prime's request, he transformed to shuttle mode, allowing the weary Autobots to board and disembark for Earth. All Hail Megatron issue 10
Later, when he arrived on Earth, he engaged Devastator. We didn't see much of the fight, as Optimus ordered him to take it somewhere else to avoid damaging the city, but in the part that we did see, Omega was winning. - Omega Supreme (1985, 2008)

- Omega Supreme transforms into three individual components simultaneously: a large rocket base, a rocket and a tank. Omega Supreme's "transformation" involves very little manipulation of his moving parts. Instead, it is achieved by disassembling him into his component pieces, which are then put back together in a different configuration. The tank forms his main body, the rocket forms his forearms, the track makes up most of his legs, while the gantry forms his feet and backpack, with extra track parts forming wings. The torso features a battery-operated motor which propels the tank around the track as its turret spins and flashes with orange light, or allows Omega to walk (very slowly) forward in robot mode. This motor is extremely susceptible to failure.
- Omega Supreme was one of several toys licensed by Hasbro from a company other than Takara. In this case, and in common with Sky Lynx, Omega Supreme was licensed by a company called Toybox. As a consequence, Omega Supreme was never released in Japan under the Transformers brand during the original 1980s run. In June 2008 TakaraTomy released the toy for the first time in Japan as part of their "Transformers Encore" Generation 1 reissue. The new release was slightly retooled to have a face (well, the top half of one) in the tank turret which becomes his head.
- The retooled version was later redecoed as a Guardian robot, available through the online e-Hobby store.
- Omega Spreem (Action Master Elite, 1991)

- As an Action Master Elite, Omega Spreem is one of the few figures in the Action Master line that can actually transform to some extent, in this case transforming into a Cybertronian tank, though the "transformation" itself merely consists of him bending over. A button on back of the tank turret, when pressed, spins the front half of the turret. In robot mode, he carries the front of his tank as a treaded gun.
- Omega Spreem, as with the other Action Master Elites, was only released in Europe and Australasia.

Super Collection Figures
- Omega Supreme (2001)
- A three-inch tall PVC figurine of Omega Supreme was available in "Act 5" of Takara's Super Collection Figure line (which, oddly, centered around Super-God Masterforce, a series which Omega Supreme was not part of). Like all the figures in the wave, it was available as both a standard full color figure and a metallic silver "pewter" version, one of each of which was available in a standard case of twelve blindpacked figures. Additionally, the pewter version of Omega Supreme came packaged with a part of the BlackZarak collectable "build-a-figure".
Heroes of Cybertron
- Omega Supreme (2003)
- Omega Supreme's Super Collection Figure PVC was released two years later by Hasbro as part of their Heroes of Cybertron line. Like all the figures in the series, Omega was given a light-piping gimmick by being cast entirely in translucent blue plastic then painted everywhere except on his eyes and the back of his head. Part of the fifth and final wave of Heroes of Cybertron, Ratchet was, unlike the Japanese figure, sold on an individual blister card and came packaged with the torso of the Metroplex "build-a-figure".

- Autobot Snow Globe (2007)
- Omega Supreme appears as part of the base of this snow globe, sculpted by Art Asylum and sold by Diamond Select.
- Omega Supreme Statue (2008)
- Omega Supreme was released as a statue in 2008 by Diamond Select Toys. He was sculpted by Mark Wong of Art Asylum and limited to 1,000 pieces. He's in scale with G1 toys.
Trivia
- Unlike the bulk of early Transformers that drew their molds from Takara's Diaclone and Microchange toys, Omega Supreme's original form was "Super Change Robo Mechabot-1", produced by a company called Toybox (an origin he shares with Sky Lynx). As mentioned above, he was not released in Japan under the Transformers brand during the original 1980s run, and it seems that he was not released in the United Kingdom, either; part of the reason for the latter omission is presumably due to the fact that the Mechabot-1 mold was licensed to a UK company called Grandstand and sold as Omegatron, part of Grandstand's Convertors toyline.
- Originally, Omega Supreme was going to be named Fortress Maximus, due to Hasbro wanting to use the name on something.
- Omega Supreme's name could be translated as "Last of the Best"; given his role as the "last line of defense", this is appropriate.
- Omega Supreme can seemingly launch his rocket into space, leaving the remaining parts behind at his launch base, and then transform fully back to robot mode even though a good number of his body parts are separated from the rocket by a good planetary diameter or two (if not several light years). Indeed, sometimes his rocket mode is seen to be inexplicably landing on his base mode which is already waiting at his destination, leading some to speculate that Omega (rather implausibly) has duplicate body parts on some other planets, "just in case". Some fanon alternatively holds that in cases such as these Omega's non-rocket parts actually use size-changing technology to shrink down and travel as cargo inside his rocket mode, which are then disgorged and enlarged before landing. Another theory is that the base is transported to subspace, as some believe happens with Optimus Prime's trailer. Whatever helps you sleep at night...
- Omega rarely spoke in the animated series, and then it was usually just two or three words. This, however, was by choice, as he can speak normally if prompted.
- According to the letters page of Marvel UK issue #285, External Forces!, Omega is tougher than a "block of triple-strength Durabylium Steel."
- Omega Spreem (the name of Omega Supreme's Action Master Elite form) is actually one possible transliteration of the Katakana (i.e. Japanese) version of "Omega Supreme". Thus it is probably a typo resulting from the name "Omega Supreme" going from English to Japanese, and then back to English again. Well.
- He will be featured in the "Transformers: War For Cybertron" video game. Notably, He resembles his G1 self, with his rocket arms and tank track sticking out of his back.
