Trivia

Up, up and away!.
Up, up and away!.
Such a quaint notion.
Such a quaint notion.
  • Unlike subsequent volumes which feature the cover of the lead story on the front and the cover of the second story on the back, the cover art for Transformers Comic Digest #1 is actually taken from Transfomers #2. The back art is a picture of the seekers taken from a panel found on page 4 of Transformers #2.
  • Just as in the Transformers #1, Ravage, Buzzsaw and Laserbeak all speak. For a hunter, Ravage seems particulary chatty in the first issue.
  • The Autobots and Decepticons are rebuilt simultaneously by the Combat Deck found in Optimus Prime's trailer. Given that it rebuilds his murderous enemies, Optimus Prime clearly shouldn't let it out of his sight.
  • All character profiles are printed with a full page of text on the left hand page and the corresponding artwork (robot and transformation mode) on the right hand page. Optimus Prime's profile is of sufficient size that the text runs onto the right hand page, necessitating a smaller print of his two modes.
  • Although the profiles could have chosen any character, it's curious that Megatron was omitted from the debut issue. What, is Optimus Prime suppose to face Frenzy?
