Images
[edit]On images taken from stories that are drawn (as opposed to photographs), please include all knowable artist credits and identify the story it comes from. As an example of this, I've modified the information on your Twin Twist picture accordingly. (And, uh, I uploaded a larger version from another source, but that's more due to the image quality freak in me than anything official.)
Going forward, somewhat more precise filenames would also be appreciated. Otherwise, your contributions have been quite solid. --Monzo 01:49, 10 January 2010 (EST)
- Thanks Monzo. Just starting to take advantage of some of my knowledge to help the wiki grow. Appreciate you cleaning up my mess. I'll work on improving. Cheers! Colin --Fairplaythings 02:21, 10 January 2010 (EST)

Covers
[edit]Why are you uploading covers under two different names? Image:Titan-NewOrderSC.jpg and Image:Titan-NewOrderSC2.jpg, for instance. --abates 15:18, 17 January 2010 (EST)
- New, clear versions were uploaded to replace older, blurry versions. However, prevented from copying over original, which would have been preference. Suggestions? --User:fairplaythings 15:18, 17 January 2010 (EST)
- I'm confused. You have copied over the originals. If you look at the file history section on Image:Titan-NewOrderSC.jpg, you can see that it shows that you've successfully uploaded a new copy of it and overwritten the old version. You've also uploaded the same image as Image:Titan-NewOrderSC2.jpg though, which is where I'm confused. --abates 15:32, 17 January 2010 (EST)
- Attempted to copy over original blurry image with the new image image:Titan-NewOrderSC.jpg, but for some reason it simply returned to the original blurry image and indicated I'd provided an update. Stumped, I opted to create an "SC2" file. Any idea why the attempt to copy over the original didn't take? --fairplaythings 15:35, 17 January 2010 (EST)
- It actually did take, it's just that your browser cache is stuck on the old image. Next time, try right-clicking and choosing "reload image" (or clicking on the picture, then reloading), and it should clear out the old pic in favor of the new one. --Jeysie 15:47, 17 January 2010 (EST)
- Opened in separate browser and see what you're saying. Apologies for the amateur mistake. Have returned to revised original image. The SC2 image can proceed to oblivion... --User:fairplaythings 15:58, 17 January 2010 (EST)
- That's OK! All sorted now. Thanks for uploading clearer images of the covers! :) --abates 16:05, 17 January 2010 (EST)
- Also appreciate the clarification on the browser issues. Wanted to continue adding clearer image to this series of cool trade covers and didn't want to make for problems, so used New Order as test run of sorts. In future, won't make that mistake. Perhaps you could tell me though what the numbers (e.g. "(+142)") and little hearts mean that I see when I look at watched files I've introduced?--User:fairplaythings 15:58, 17 January 2010 (EST)
- NP, it's a quirky thing that sometimes doesn't occur to you right away as an explanation.
- As for your other questions, the plus and minus numbers refer to how many characters were added or deleted from the wikicode of an article. (Characters being letters, numbers, spaces, punctuation, etc.) And the hearts denote changes made by people with admin powers. --Jeysie 16:20, 17 January 2010 (EST)
- Good to know. I thought the hearts might be how much people liked my posts, or indicated an invasion of care bears. --User:fairplaythings 16:31, 17 January 2010 (EST)
- Hee hee hee. Basically, Derik, one of our resident code gurus, thought indicating which users were admins with a symbol would be a good idea, and Derik... has rather strange tastes. --Jeysie 16:36, 17 January 2010 (EST)
- And really, who wouldn't want to be a care bear... --User:fairplaythings 16:38, 17 January 2010 (EST)

SCF Boxart
[edit]In case you aren't watching the talkpages, I've gone ahead and combined the HOC and SCF talkpages. I also think that your boxart suggestion would be great. The article could use a few images, especially if they were ones that wouldn't normally be found on the character pages. Sorry I hadn't responded to your suggestion earlier, I was waiting for more imput and didn't want to have to make tons of changes to my sandbox before the page merge.
