Hammer (weapon)

Typically, transformers use hammers as medical or construction tools, but they can also serve as effective hand-to-hand combat weapons ideal for breaking shield, thick armor or shattering limbs. For similar weapons, see maces and flails.

Hammers are blunt tools and effective melee weapons in combat used by Autobots and Decepticons in their many wars.

• Not surprisingly, Steamhammer has dual hammers built into his arms.

Beast Wars

• Timelines Megatron has a spring-loaded hammerhead weapon.

Beast Machines

• Hammerstrike has a very hammer-like weapon in his robot mode.

Unicron Trilogy

• Red Alert has a hammer attachment for his gun-appendage, in his Cybertron Defense body he has a hammerhead weapon.
• Sharing Red Alert's body, Cannonball also has a hammer attachment for his gun-appendage.

2007 Movie

• Crankcase has a hammer attachment for his gun-appendage.

Animated

• Ultra Magnus wields the Magnus Hammer.
• Both Shockwave and Optimus Prime have also wielded the Magnus Hammer.
• The Allspark Almanac implies there is more than one "Stormbringer" hammer.
• Ratchet's deluxe class toy is packaged with a medical hammer, though it probably serves as an effective weapon as well.

• Thor's signature weapon is Mjolnir, a magical hammer that can create several types of energy blasts and with enough power to shatter mountains.
