Payload is a member of G.I. Joe from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Payload, a.k.a. Mark Morgan, Jr., was inspired by the space launches he watched from his childhood home to become a pilot and, later, an astronaut. He's prepared his whole life for spaceflight, which make his whispered chants of "Vroom! Vroom!" all the more embarassing.
