Hi everyone! I'm PacifistPrime, (from that you can probably guess who's my favourite 'bot, and my preferred interpretation of his character) a long-time, moderately hardcore Australian transfan, but not one who's ever really been involved in online discussion groups or fora. I'm old enough to have been into G1 when they were originally around, although I probably started a bit younger than some of you (I was born in 1981, but bear in mind that toys & the show hung around for quite a while here in Oz.)

Primarily a fan of G1 (toys, cartoon, comics, ladybird books... everything!) and Beast Wars, although I also like Beast Machines and have a perverse soft spot for the Armada toyline, but definitely not the anime. In fact, my tastes are fairly hostile to most of the Japanese-originated Fictions, especially their unavoidably atrocious dubs, glacial plotting and overall "silliness". Not that that's stopped me from buying Headmasters, Masterforce and Victory on DVD (twice), but that has more to do with me being a completist than actually enjoying it (as of this writing, it's taken me about 4 years to get through the first two series. Pure, unadulterated masochism...)

Japanese toys however are another story. Star Convoy a-go-go!

I'm not a Movie-basher... yet. I'm no fan of Bay and I dislike the designs both aesthetically and as poor adaptations, but I also had realistic expectations that they were never going to do true G1 (although I can't fathom why it couldn't have at least resembled it). I'll reserved judgement on the film itself until I see it.

I've been reading this wiki for about 6 months or more now and I love it! I like the fact that it has a sense of humour and isn't utterly anal-retentive like Wikipedia or Wookieepeidia (don't get me started...!). Although many of the users obviously have depths of knowledge greater than myself, I hope I still have some stuff of value to contribute.
