Talk:Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers 2010 (franchise)
From MediaWiki
Shortening?
Should this be shortened to just 2010 for consistency? - Jackpot 01:45, 23 June 2009 (EDT)
- It does mean we'll end up having to do 2010 (franchise) and 2010 (year)...
- Plus, wasn't it that "Transformers" only gets dropped if it's the series' name's prefix? The lack of colon here implies to me that "Transformers 2010" is in fact the whole name. --Jeysie 01:56, 23 June 2009 (EDT)
- The standard is less consistent than that-- Transformers stays on if it's confusing without it. "Animated" and "2010" qualify for keepign the "Transformers" part I think. -Derik 02:17, 23 June 2009 (EDT)
Featured article
This article was featured on the main page, so... shouldn't it have that template on it. Cos not putting the template there would indicate that featuring it on the main page was a mistake or that we should split featured into "shown on front page" and "complete and highly informative"Item42 11:35, 13 February 2010 (EST)
- Please, someone explain why it was featured on the main page. Are we even allowed to feature articles without that Vector Sigma box on the Main Page, just because of some naming coincidence? Cos that's what it seems like...Item42 01:27, 15 March 2010 (EDT)
- Pretty much, yep. While the month-to-month Features are usually the top-quality articles with the symbol, we sometimes will throw up themed articles related to recent events--holiday related articles for holidays, Transformers 2010 for the year coincidence, the Wreckers article for Wreckers Awareness Week--just so the Wiki can be topical with what's going on in Real Life. Considering these sorts of exceptions are fleeting/temporary, there's no reason to complicate things by making two separate categories.
- No offense, but you seem to be way too obsessed with making everything 100% fit into neat little packages. Our guidelines are just that--guidelines. We follow them the majority of the time because they make life easier, but the occasional discrepancy for special circumstances happens and it's usually not a mistake or something to worry about. --Jeysie 01:37, 15 March 2010 (EDT)
- Sorry if I was being rude. Item42 04:10, 16 March 2010 (EDT)
