"What's a diorama?"

Transformers: Beast Wars Diorama Story is a series of video shorts found on the DVDs packed with the Beast Wars Telemocha Series figures. They depict those same figures in pre-posed positions, playing out a battle (to call it a "story" would be a bit generous) on a diorama landscape through a series of still scenes, with the occasional "laser blast" or "explosion" special effect added in post-production.

Each chapter begins with a recap of the storyline behind the Beast Wars and a description of the Telemocha Series character line-up. This takes up the bulk of the chapter content, with the individual "battles" being simply displays of each character's unique attacks and weaponry.

Later installments in the Diorama Story series introduced a cross-promotion with the Japanese release of the live-action movie Fast Action Battlers toyline, adding those toys into the dioramas and presenting a scenario that saw the Autobots and Decepticons of the movie universe somehow being transported into the midst of the Beast Wars.

Tigatron Chapter

Found on: DVD packed with Tigatron

When a time warp opened up, it brought a mysterious "vehicle army" with it. These vehicles turned out to be the Autobots and the Decepticons from another dimension.

Tigatron found himself engaged in battle with his new rival, Gimlet. Tigatron had no problem overcoming his foe's "Robo Slicer" and hit him with his own "Tiger Shot" attack.

Then, in a forest battle, he went up against the "mysterious jet" Starscream. Starscream had the high ground, though the trees couldn't protect him from getting shot in the face by Tigatron's "Tiger Shot". Suddenly, Optimus Primal arrived with his new buddy, Optimus Prime. Together, they double-teamed Starscream, pinning him against a rock with their fists. The battle won, the two leaders shook hands.

Gimlet Chapter

Found on: DVD packed with Gimlet

Traveling through a time warp from another dimension, the Decepticon Starscream teamed up with the Predacon Megatron to steal the energy of planet Energoa. Starscream was acting on his own, intending to use the energy for his own purposes.

Meanwhile, leaving the Maximals for unknown reasons, Gimlet ventured back in time to planet Energoa through unknown means to join up with Megatron's Predacons. Once there, he quickly became rivals with the Maximal Tigatron and partners with the Decepticon Blackout.

Facing off against his rival, Gimlet attempted to chop off the Maximal's head with his "Robo Slicer", but Tigatron countered with his "Tiger Shot". Gimlet and Blackout then found themselves under attack from Cheetor, Optimus Primal, Ironhide, Ratchet and Jazz. As Blackout went up against Optimus Primal, Gimlet first came under fire from Cheetor (shooting at him from the high ground) and then face-to-face with Jazz. Back-up for the villains soon arrived in the form of Starscream, who battled Tigatron within the treetops.

As the battle raged on, a new contender appeared: the Decepticon Megatron. And he wasn't happy.

Motorarm Chapter

Found on: DVD packed with Motorarm

With Brawl in tow, the Decepticon Megatron arrived through the time warp. Teaming up with the Predacon Megatron, he joined in the massive forest battle.

The Maximal Motorarm also arrived on Energoa (albeit through unknown means) and joined up with Optimus Primal's Maximals. He found himself pitted against Tarantulas but fended him off with his mighty "Beetle Claw".

Both factions then took formation opposite each other for the final strike, with each side combining their energies into a massive attack. With Motorarm leading the way (going horn to tail against Megatron himself, in fact), the Maximals/Autobots launched their energies at the Predacons/Decepticons.
