- Wheelie is an Autobot, you see, in the Generation 1 continuity family.
Wheelie, so small, is an Autobot child. But when stakes are high, he gets mean and wild! He carries a slingshot that shoots hurtful things; they'll hit your nose (the projectile, it stings). He has a speech pattern that ends in like sounds. It's just his deal, like Warpath's "Bam! Zounds!"
Some think he's annoying and wish he would die. His answer to that? Here's death in your eye.

His spaceship, it crashed and turned into ash. But Wheelie not scared; he climbed out of there. The planet Quintessa he's on, but now his friends are all gone. He stays alive. The fierce survive.
Wheelie journeyed from Cybertron to Earth, protecting a cog for all he is worth. Galvatron destroyed his ship, sent him and Blurr flying through space, but Wheelie not scared, shot a Sweep in the face! Stranded on Io, rescued by human chick, bomb-bats destroy her ship, Sky Lynx'll do the trick! Transformation cog delivered, Metroplex is alive, 'Plex fights a dinosaur, Trypticon takes a dive!

Wheelie was too busy being a petulant teenager to rhyme. He blames everything on Chromedome.
At one point, he got drunk at a party while Hardhead sang karaokee and Chromedome danced with Arcee.
Headmasters manga
Shortly after the defeat of Mega Zarak, Soundblaster showed up and began to attack! Wheelie, unprepared, took a kick right to the face. Soundblaster got all up in his grill, saying "Bitch! Know your place!" When Slugfest and Overkill, took hostage Carly and Spike, Daniel went berserk and started to strike! Sending the Cassette dinosaurs running back home, Soundblaster was left open to an attack from Chromedome. As the Autobots left Earth, Wheelie and Daniel said "Goodbye". They huggled and they snuggled and the reader just screamed "WHY!?!"

None too far did Wheelie roam - still, he called Quintessa his home. For Rodimus Prime he was a spy; he'd report on what the locals try. Wreck-Gar's rescue was his claim to fame, then helped the Junkions spoil the Quints' good name.
Dreamwave Comics continuity
Shockwave promised peace to all, but for that ruse Wheelie won't fall. He joined a team, he had a pet; they'll unveil Shockwave's evil threat.
Prime joins their side, but he's a brute, so tiny Wheelie bites his boot.
Many fans cried for the status quo, but Dreamwave decided 'twould not be so: When introduced this time, Wheelie did nae speak in rhyme!
Universe: The Wreckers comics
Many Nightbirds they fight; they attack left and right! Fujiyama in tow, so the Autobots must go! But Daniel and he have no room to flee. Wheelie is harmed, a blast in the back! Daniel's bombs are now armed; kamikaze attack. "Through all our lives, I've been your friend. But now it's time for this to end."

Is it just me or alternate Wheelie? Fight inside Unicron and release energon! Trapped in a cage until the end of the age? Now bars are released, thanks to truck and a beast. Now Wheelie is free to fight and to flee!

Teletraan 15's panties are so frilly and white. But when Wheelie peeked, 10 took this as a slight! Kup also came to give Wheelie a scolding, but then hugged 15, whose spine now needs remolding!

- Wheelie was reissued in a Japanese "bookbox" set, with Targetmaster Kup and Recoil, you bet! The reissue's different in an unexpected way; where the old face was orange, the new one is gray!
Trivia
- In the first commercial where Wheelie did appear, his voice didn't sound anywhere near! Though the actor was the same, much deeper Wheelie's voice came. In fact - and I'm sure you'll all agree - he sounded exactly like Johan's friend Pee Wee!
