Solar Scalpel
- The Solar Scalpel is a satellite from the Armada portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.
The Solar Scalpel is a solar-powered satellite created by the Decepticons. Once in orbit, it's capable of firing very precise and very powerful beams of energy at the planet below.

The Solar Scalpel was constructed by Sideways, Skywarp and Wheeljack in Death Valley, and was successfully launched and deployed before the Autobots could do anything about it. Fire & Ice With Megatron at the controls, the orbiting Solar Scalpel was aimed at Alaska, where it was first used to destroy an Autobot shuttle. Megatron then turned his attention towards a Mini-Con escape pod buried underneath the ice, using the satellite's beam to melt his way towards it. Optimus Prime was quicker, though, and sent Sky Blast into space to deal with the Solar Scalpel before Megatron could finish his excavation and turn the beam back on the Autobots. Sky Blast managed to blow the satellite out of the sky at the very last second, causing a massive explosion that could be seen from Earth. Dreamwave Armada issue 13
