This article is about the 2009—? Japanese toyline. For the fictional human energy company, see Alterenergy.

Transformers: Alternity is a toyline started by TakaraTomy in 2009. It is the successor to the Binaltech toyline. It features licensed vehicle alternate modes in its toys, as well as a mixture of plastic and die-cast metal. Toys are scaled down from their previous Binaltech/Alternators proportions, now being 1:32 scale rather than 1:24, and roughly equivalent in size to the mainline "deluxe" size class.

Fiction

Like Binaltech, Alternity's continuity is established by pack-in fiction.

Notes

I AM ALL JAZZES. WHAT IS CRACKING SMALL FELLOWS?
  • To pitch the Alternity line, Hironori Kobayashi enlisted the help of Hirofumi Ichikawa, who produced a concept image of an Alternity Jazz. A large amount of the design was put to use on Alternity Convoy once the line was approved.
