The pyramids contained a large amount of energon, and so was inevitably attacked by the Decepticons. The Autobots and humans made a valiant effort to save them, but ultimately, Optimus Prime was forced to order their destruction Crisis in Jungle City.
Alexis later had them rebuilt at a nearby location Team Optimus Prime.
