Silverbolt is an Autobot from the War for Cybertron portion of the Prime continuity family.

Silverbolt is a brave Autobot. Who else would command the Autobot fliers despite his fear of heights? He cares more for his friends than himself, and as a true believer in the Autobot cause, he would gladly sacrifice himself to protect them.

When Megatron attacked the Autobot ships that where fleeing Cybertron on Optimus Prime's command, he sent a team of flyers lead by Silverbolt to destroy the gun Megatron was using to destroy the ships. They succeeded in deactivating it, only for it to assume its true form, the monstrous transformer known as: Trypticon.
