Notes

  • Although Osamu is a full-grown man, he uses the more boyish "boku" ボク (僕) when identifying himself. In contrast, Wataru, a young boy, uses the rougher "ore" オレ (俺). "I" in Japanese can be pronounced in more than one way and the usage can sometimes identify the speaker's attitude and character - from the common "watashi" 私, to formal "watakushi", to the older "ware" (我) that various Decepticon leaders have used in the Japanese series/dubs (such as Victory Deathsaurus and Animated Megatron).
