Jack is a human from the Cyber Missions portion of the Revenge of the Fallen portion of the Movie continuity.

Jack seems to be a soldier.

Cyber Missions

In a remote jungle area, Mindwipe hypnotized Jack and interrogated him about the location of some Energon. Without moving his lips, Jack said that Ratchet and Sideswipe were transporting the Energon over a mountain road to a more secure location. Mindwipe threw Jack to the ground and took off after the Energon. Jack didn't look to be in very good shape.
