Shouldn't the Dinobots be under Beast Machines? X-BoB58

They should be, as they are on BM cards/boxes, and just have a diffrent fastion and series blurb. --FortMax 22:38, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

Species

Regarding:Tigatron (Siberian tiger)

From Wikipedia "The existence of pure White Siberian Tiger has not been scientifically proven, despite occasional reports of sightings of white tigers in the regions where wild Siberian Tigers live. It is quite possible that the gene for white coating does not exists in the Siberian Tiger population, since no pure White Siberian Tigers have been born in captivity even though the Siberian Tiger has been extensively breed during the last decades. The wild Siberian Tiger population was near extinct during the middle of the 20th century, so it is also possible that the Siberian Tigers carrying the gene for white coating died out during this period. More research is necessary before we can fully understand the genetic make up of the Siberian Tiger."

release years

I was under the impression that the "standard" BW toys were released in '96 and '97, and that the Fuzors and Transmetals weren't released until '98. Either that, or the International Tec Spec archive was wrong on release years. --FortMax 22:38, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

Have you considered simply PRESSING THE "SHOW PREVIEW" BUTTON TO SEE WHAT CHANGES YOU'RE MAKING TO THE PAGES RATHER THAN "SAVE PAGE" EVERY TIME SO YOU DON'T FILL UP THE RECENT CHANGES PAGE WITH SIX DOZEN EDITS TO A SINGLE FUCKING ARTICLE? --M Sipher 06:05, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

Tripredacus

Can you explain to the igonrant what the difference between Tripredacus and the Tripredacus Council is? --Crockalley 18:01, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

One is a political body that's part of the Predacon allience, compossed of the three non-Autobot-or-Decepticon-decended members.

The other is the gestalt super-robot that the three may or may not be able to form.

It's the same sort of difference between Superion and the Aerialbots. ZacWilliam 18:07, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

Ah, thank you. --Crockalley 18:10, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

Japanese BW reissues

What exactly is the actual name for the current Japanese BW reissue line? I've seen it listed as Tele-Beast Wars, but can anybody confirm this? Spilgs? --FortMax 13:54, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Wasp/Hornet

To put this to rest:

Hornets are the largest eusocial wasps, reaching up to 45 millimetres (1.8 inches) in length. The true hornets make up the genus Vespa, and are distinguished from other vespines by the width of the vertex (part of the head behind the eyes), which is proportionally larger in Vespa; and by the anteriorly rounded gasters (the section of the abdomen behind the wasp waist). See wasp and bee characteristics to help identify an insect. (Wikipedia on hornets)

And to clarify, Waspinator is a European Hornet, which does not invalidate his name as hornets are definitely wasps.

Meanwhile, Buzz Saw is a Yellowjacket Wasp. The body types are quite similar, so it's not out of the question for a redeco of one to be the other.--Rosicrucian 00:53, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

I vote for "wasp" on the grounds that Hasbro said "wasp". The early BW toys are not accurate enough, IMO, to particular animal types to really classify them as anything other than Hasbro Says It Is This. For an example, I point to Cheetor, and his redeco Tigatron.
Also, I vote that in that light, this arguement is ridiculous. --Sntint 09:05, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
I agree with Sntint. Just use wasp for both. If you really care that much about it, Rosi, just put a trivia entry about it on Waspinator's own page. --Steve-o 20:59, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
Why not give the dichotomous names to the beast modes? It would be easier to identify the beast mode if coupled with a common name.

Bat-Primal and Gator-Megs

Going by the standards we use on other toyline pages, shouldn't they be listed as a two-pack rather than lumped together with the single-pack Basics?--Nevermore 11:40, 4 October 2009 (EDT)

Wait... Japanese and American toys in one list with no distinction whatsoever? BotCon exclusives listed alongside the mass releases? WAAAH. Who made this list, Ignash?--Nevermore 11:43, 4 October 2009 (EDT)
Looks like there some toys that are missing too... Transmetal Spittor and Transmetal Claw Jaw aren't listed, (even though there's a picture of TM Claw Jaw right there....) nor is the orange Airazor that came with a VHS... There might be more... --Ascendron 13:30, 4 October 2009 (EDT)

Apelinq

Apelinq was sold in Beast Machines packaging and should remain deleted from this page.
