- Prowl is an Autobot Protectobot from the Universe conflict.
A member of the Micromaster Protectobots, Prowl fights against the forces of the evil Unicron. He forms the chest of Defensor. His relationship to any other "Prowl," including the three dozen others active in the conflict, is unknown.

Prowl was one of the many Transformers held in the Cauldron, the death-pit deep within the shattered remains of Unicron. He and the other Protectobots formed Defensor when Trailbreaker and Silverbolt released the prisoners, making a break for freedom. Escape
Prowl's only appearance in the comic is as Defensor's chest.

- An exclusive to KB Toys stores, Prowl appears to have no significant differences from the Japanese 2002 Micromaster Collection re-release of Road Police, transforming into an Acura NSX police cruiser. He can form any part of the combined Defensor robot, but frankly works best as either the chest (his nominal placement) or as his "spine".
