3H comics

[edit]

In universal stream Aurex 1104.30-DB Zeta (a highly Primax-influenced universe), the Protectobots were born from Dr. Brian Jones's attempts at reverse-engineering Maximus combiner technology and applying it to Mini-Con anatomy. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/07/31

The Protectobots of Aurex 1104.30-DB Zeta were among the Transformers kidnapped by Unicron and imprisoned in the Cauldron, the death-pit deep within the chaos-bringer's shattered remains. They formed Defensor and escaped when Trailbreaker and Silverbolt released the prisoners, and presumably either returned to their timeline of origin or joined Optimus Primal's Children of Primus against Unicron's minions. Escape The Aerialbots, the Protectobots, and the Railbots would go on to fight the Constructicons in the Combiner Wars during the Unicron Singularity crisis. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/07/31

Toys

[edit]

Universe (2003)

[edit]
The Universe Micromaster Protectobots are a very slight redeco of the Operation Combination Sixturbo team. The six individual members were packaged separately, available originally as exclusives to KB Toys stores, but later appeared in Sears stores during the Christmas season (KB Toys partnered with Sears, a chain that usually doesn't have a toy department), as well as being available online at Kmart's web site.

Energon

[edit]
The Protectobots were also released in Europe, but under the Energon line.
