Errors

  • Many Transformers given the wrong colors in this issue. Problems with the Intiative-controlled Transformers are noted below; others include a consistently murky yellow Ratchet, a green Mudflap and a red Skids in the first double page spread, then a green Mudflap and a blue Skids on the last page.
  • When he appears in the last few pages of the issue, Buzzsaw has taken on a helicopter alternate mode with no explanation.

Items of note

  • The initiative-controlled Transformers are difficult to identify due to inconsistent coloring, and many of them having been redesigned by artist Carlos Magno into more monstrous forms, as he did with Reverb and Ransack earlier in the series. Many names in the featured characters list are best guesses—except for Blazemaster, who is the only one named in the script (although his colors oscillate from solid blue to blue with tan accents). A breakdown:
    • The blue tank-treaded robot seen in the first double page spread is almost certainly Tankor.
    • Brawn is clearly identifiable in this spread also, despite being colored like his Generation 1 predecessor. He is colored entirely green in subsequent pages.
    • A black and red stealth-plane Transformer can safely be presumed to be either Skystalker or Mindwipe; we've opted for the former.
    • Far off in the distance is a small purple and red Transformer with what seem to be orange shoulder-mounted missile-launchers. He is assuredly miscolored, whoever he is.
    • The other two robots in the first spread are a chaotic jumble of green and blue. We theorize them to be Armorhide and Beachcomber, but definitely don't swear by it.
    • One of the three robots attacking Jolt is an entirely grey version of the mold shared by Breakaway and Thrust. As Breakaway died earlier in this series, we assume this is a miscolored Thrust.
    • Jolt's other two attackers are a green robot that might be a miscolored Dead End, and a red robot that looks like it turns into a jet that we can't figure out.
  • Bumblebee did not take part in a battle. He was seen on the last page and the cover.
