The name or term "Beast" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Beast (disambiguation).
The Beast is an abomination that we like to pretend doesn't exist a combined robot from an unknown portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

This is a monument to all of your sins.

The Beast is the combined form of the five Dinobots. Like them, his strength is awe inspiring, far beyond the other combiners. Unfortunately, he is also a mindless monster, whose single impulse is simply to kill, regardless of allegiance. He is also an aesthetic nightmare of broken robot parts, most of which can't clearly be recognized as part of any Dinobot.

Fiction

The Beast Within

With the Autobots moments from death (some several moments past death) Grimlock laid all his cards on the table and combined with his teammates into the Beast. After killing the Decepticon combiners, and any Decepticon foolish enough to attack him, he turned on the Autobots. Optimus Prime attempted to reason with him, but to no avail. The Beast Within After significant casualties, the Autobots were forced to kill the Beast, which was much easier said than done. The Beast Within Part 2, Consequences

Notes

And now, Not Quite Devil Satan Six.
So yeah, our names are pretty ridiculous.
  • For years, fans have been coming up with designs for a Dinobot combiner. This is so much worse than any of them.
  • Dylan Gibson stated that he wanted The Beast to look different from any other Transformers to really show the horror and monstrosity it is. Mission accomplished?
  • Four of the original five Dinobot designs served as the templates for the "Geisters", recurring villainous henchmen on the Takara/Sunrise co-production Brave Exkaiser. In what might be called a vision of things to come, the four were once briefly fused into a single robot called "Mad Geister" (マッドガイスター, ma-ddo-ga-i-su-taa). However, because each Geister controlled a portion of the combined body — and they had the accumulated brain power of a Froot Loop — this ended rather badly for them. In a more successful (if not also prescient) later development, the Geisters learned to merge in groups of two, with Ptera Geist and Thunder Geist forming the centaur-esque "Pteder" (プテダー, pu-te-daa) and Horn Geist and Armor Geist forming "Hormor" (ホーマー, hoo-maa).
  • Hasbro has stated repeatedly, even after the publication of "The Beast Within", that there is no Dinobot combiner. It isn't clear whether this is a strategic retcon or simply Hasbro being unaware of the comic's existence. Either way, THANK GOD.
  • In 2010, it was announced that Hasbro would be releasing a Dinobot Power Core Combiners 5-pack. However, the core Transformer for this team is Grimstone, so it's not the original Dinobots, nor will they form Beast. THANK GOD!

There is a toy! Rather, it's just a dinobot combiner, but finally! THANK YOU HASBRO! http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=HAS19503&mode=retail&picture=out
