Lester Black is Detroit's most fearless news reporter and great-nephew of legendary journalist Hector Ramirez! He works for News 44 when he isn't being replaced by a News Bot.

Notes

  • Lester was listed in the series credits as "News Anchor". His name comes from his model sheet.
  • Before his name was revealed, fans wondered if he could be an Animated Hector Ramirez. The AllSpark Almanac would later invent such a link.
  • Bumper Robinson is also credited as playing a "News Reporter" in "The Thrill of the Hunt", which may or may not also be an appearance of Lester.
  • He shares a surname with Prometheus Black. Coincidence? ... probably.
  • In the Japanese dub, Black sports an obnoxiously shrill, high-pitched voice.
