The N.E.S.T. Advanced Research Facility is a scientific installation from the live-action film series continuity family.

The N.E.S.T. Advanced Research Facility (N.E.S.T.高等研究機関 N.E.S.T. Kōtō Kenkyū Kikan) is a Japanese NEST base located in the Hida Mountains in Nagano Prefecture.

Fiction

Unite for the Universe

The Advanced Research Facility was the headquarters for Project: Unite. The Project resulted in Optimus Prime being able to maintain his upgrade from Jetfire.

Megatron, oblivious to the actual intentions of the Project, sent Bludgeon with a small Decepticon force to infiltrate and steal the "fruits" of the Project. Starscream, angry at Bludgeon's good relationship with Megatron, sabotaged the mission by alerting the humans at the Facility of the upcoming Decepticon raid. While NEST forces occupied Bludgeon's attention, Starscream infiltrated the Facility himself, only to be met by Optimus Prime, outfitted in Jetfire's upgrade. Starscream and Bludgeon, knowing a losing battle when they see one, independently retreated. Unite for the Universe
