Talk:Martian emissary

So has the wiki reached an official conclusion on the Gaea = Earth thing then?
I mean-- it was a retcon, and it clashes with SO MUCH, but this is the second time Interrobang has removed reference which acknowledge the Gaea=Earth thing without fully commiting to it to replace them with 'it's Earth,' so did I miss a discussion while I was gone?
- Man, I dunno that it's really a retcon. In the cartoon itself, the ruined Tokyo Tower is seen, and the manga describes it as the third planet from its sun. But, yeah, everything going forward from Lio Convoy's RM bio to the 2007 timeline, has treated it as Earth. - Chris McFeely 20:14, 15 February 2011 (EST)
- Uh, what? I didn't put "Gaea is Earth" in this article because it didn't seem like a relevant point to make in this particular article. What does the "retcon" (more like explicit confirmation) clash with? —Interrobang 20:46, 15 February 2011 (EST)
- You put "Gaea's neighboring planet is Mars", since apparently calling it mars-like with a link was insufficient. -Derik 21:02, 15 February 2011 (EST)
- Maybe because the "Mars-like planet" is Mars and not a "Mars-like planet"? —Interrobang 21:07, 15 February 2011 (EST)
- But we see an orbital map of Gaea's solar system, and it clearly shows a planet whose orbit takes it well above the elliptic plane! Earth's solar system has no such planet! -Derik 21:22, 15 February 2011 (EST)
