The events of The Veiled Threat take place during IDW Publishing's Alliance comic.

Following the Zambia mission, Cabrillo reported that the NEST satellites had picked up two contacts at once. Surprised at this, Captain Lennox had her double-check and she confirmed the hot spots in south-east Peru and near Oobagooma.
