Whitey and Marko were sent to kill Joey Slick for outstanding debts accumulated in horse racing using Lomax's money. Joey was hunted down to a sewer drain, where he found a gun. Joey attempted to use the gun on his assailants, but it proved unresponsive. The duo mocked the hapless man, asking the gun to shoot them, which it did of its own violation. Shooting Star!
