Talk:Firebolt (G1)
Hm. Why is there a Firebolt disambig link? How many other Firebolts are there? --M Sipher 01:57, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
The Nebulans who end up as the Autobots' Targetmasters are explicitly using codenames in the comic, so we should probably find a way to reword that bit of the Marvel entry. Also, I'd dispute that Galen and Firebolt were the only Nebulans killed in action. Nightstick was crushed by Megatron, and I'd suspect that Arcana and Gort died with their partners. "Firebolt" was the name they called the Aerialbot "Fireflight" in Japan. It was the also the name they gave to "Windrazor", one of the Aerialbots from Transformers: Energon. -- Dataraven 02:09, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- We don't really give disambig pages for foreign names of domestic characters. They get noted on existant disambig pages, but in instances like this... --M Sipher 02:19, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- There's also Laser Rod Sizzle's UK name, Fireball, and the A-Emergency Team Minicon Firebot for "should not be confused with"
Speaking of name variants, Firebolt is called 'Professor Sparks' in at least 2 different sources. (I suppose it's possible that was his REAL name...) -Derik 02:14, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
Good points, Chip and Derik. I was trying not to draw too many conclusions re: Sparks being Firebolt's real name for sure (the comic had a lot of errors in it as far as names went). I do agree that it is likely that Nightstick was killed, and I also suspect that Arcana and Gort may have died, but Galen and Firebolt are the only two that are specifically mentioned as being dead for sure. Methinks I will clean that part up, just for clarity's sake. Thanks for the suggestions! -- Dataraven 02:15, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- I expect you're right to be cautious about these things. I personally reckon that Nightstick was salvaged by the Autobots and ended up joining Ricochet, which is at least possible (if wholly made up) from what we've seen. Lord Zarak's gotta be pretty damn dead, though. Chip 02:23, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
