Scott Ciencin

Scott Ciencin (born 1962) is an American author and comic writer. The bulk of his novel work has been on media tie-ins, including for Dinotopia, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Jurassic Park, and Charmed. He was a writer on IDW Publishing's Silent Hill comic and has written on Captain America for Marvel Comics. He sometimes co-writes with his wife, Denise, with whom he lives in Fort Myers, Florida.
His first contact with the Transformers brand was writing Transformers: Hardwired, the first book of the Keepers Trilogy for ibooks. When general reaction to the book was poor, in part due to the viscerally-described gore, Ciencin was replaced partway through writing Transformers: Annihilation by David Cian.
