Brimstone (Universe)
| The name or term "Brimstone" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Brimstone (disambiguation). |
- Brimstone is a Decepticon from the Wings of Honor portion of the Generation 1 continuity family. His toy, however, was released under the Universe banner: Armada series.
A member of the Decepticon-allied Ransack Team, Brimstone is trained for toxic warfare from the air. He's prodigiously strong, extremely durable, impressively fast and packs a surprising amount of firepower for a Mini-Con. Luckily for the Autobots and their allies, he doesn't have the intelligence, courage, or skill to back any of those abilities up.[1]
Fiction
Wings of Honor
Brimstone makes a dramatic appearance, demonstrating his flame breath which can completely disintegrate anything it touches. The Guardsmen flee, though the very walls seem to shift around them to cut them off, and manage to take advantage of a surprisingly convenient door. They hit Brimstone with Ironfist's entire stock of explosive, but the dragon emerges from the explosion intact. Just as all seems lost, the Guardsmen encounter Drench, Rage's second-in-command, who's decided that Rage has gone way too far and is prepared to defect. Drench points out that the small body Brimstone is in isn't big enough to contain Brimstone's energies and is on the verge of exploding. With Drench's help, they escape the Metrotitan just as the prediction becomes reality and Brimstone explodes violently. Flames of Yesterday
Toys
Universe (2008)
- Mini-Con Class 12 Pack (Multi-pack, 2008)
- Series: Armada Series
- Brimstone is a redeco of Classics Nightscream, in sludge green and off yellow, transforming into a winged dragon. He was originally available only as part of a K-Mart exclusive twelve-pack along with Backstop, Blight, Bodyblock, Boltflash, Cloudraker, Flatfoot, Heavytread, Knockdown, Makeshift, Skyhammer, and Suppressor.
- This mold was also used to make Dragoyell.
- Brimstone (Mini-Con, 2009)
- Brimstone was also sold on an individual card in the US, first through discount chains like Big Lots! and then as part of the holiday toy stock up at Shop and Stop and Family Dollar. This release is identical to the multi-pack version.
- Brimstone (Mini-Con w/ candy, 2010)
- In the UK, all twelve Mini-Cons from the original "Mini-Con Class 12 Pack" set were released in individual blind-packed bags with "energon fizzy sweets" candies, distributed by The Little Factory Ltd. Though all of these Mini-Cons are actually new molds with numerous tiny differences from the originals, Brimstone is one of the few toys with a major change; this version is cast in much brighter, more primary shades of green. His paint operations, however, use the same desaturated shades of green as the original.
