In the far-flung future of 2009, North America has been conquered by the Decepticons. In response, the European nations formed the European Crisis Coalition to defend themselves against the Decepticon Empire.

The European Crisis Coalition planned to send nuclear missiles to attack the Decepticon Powerbase. Their attack was called off when Spike Witwicky planeted an American flag on the Powerbase's spire, proving that America was still going strong and fighting. Rhythms of Darkness!
