Decepticon Powerbase
- The Decepticon Powerbase is a headquarters from the Marvel portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

In a potential future (relative to 1990, anyway) where all but a handful of Autobots are defeated and the Decepticons rule North America, the Decepticon Powerbase (East Coast) is a Decepticon stronghold in New York. It has energy shields that can not only withstand a nuclear assault, but also harness unspeakable energy from such an onslaught.
However, the shields are not burning-corpse-of-Crossblades-proof. The Decepticons may want to work on that.

[edit]Marvel Comics continuity
[edit]After a nuclear strike by the European Crisis Coalition was planned on the Decepticon Powerbase, Galvatron planned to absorb the radiation to create energon. The Autobot-human alliance managed to accidentally destroy the shield by Crossblades swerving into the shield after his rotor was removed by Laserbeak. With this opportunity, the alliance entered the Powerbase and a battle broke out between the Autobots and the Decepticons.
The nuclear strike was called off by the Coalition when they saw the American flag planted on the Powerbase's spire by Spike Witwicky. Galvatron was about to exterminate the human when Hook, Line, and Sinker arrived and abducted the Decepticon leader. This gave the alliance a boost in morale and they steadfastly fought for the planet. Rhythms of Darkness!

[edit]In Primax 185.0 Beta, Galvatron was also based in a Decepticon Powerbase in New York City. This time around, however, he successfully provoked a nuclear strike by humans and subsequently conquered Earth. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/06/04
