When the Decepticon cruiser crashed four million years ago, it ejected an escape module containing three Decepticons. The capsule landed in an area that would later become the Demon Swamp of Bali, which became the home of the trio following their reawakening. In 1985, the Decepticons that had remained aboard the cruiser got wind of their activities and reintroduced them in their ranks with a joint attack on an oil refinery. A Plague of Insecticons

The Decepticons ruined a large part of the Sumatran jungle in their quest for oil. Storms of Destruction Later, they brainwashed the population of Buru to collect the islands' oil for them. This went unnoticed by the Autobots for quite some time because the Decepticons arranged distraction attacks whenever their enemies could get too close to Buru. The Autobots did eventually discovered the Decepticons' activities on the island and put an end to them. Slaves of the Insecticons
