D-Void
- D-Void is a cosmic force from the IDW continuity portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
D-Void is a mysterious dark entity that resides within the shadows of the Dead Universe. A black mass of tentacles, this creature seeks to devour the life of entire worlds in order to satiate its hunger. He is described as being an unbelievably powerful being with the capacity to return the Spark to a deceased Transformer and is able to drain energy from Cybertronians to feed on them. Ain't that familiar?

This entity was responsible for creating a trans-dimensional portal from the Dead Universe into the main reality, where it manifested first as a lake on the world of Gorlam Prime. Once it formed, D-Void used a lure that drew the cybernetic inhabitants of Gorlam Prime into the pool, where the entirety of the planetary robotic population's sparks of life was devoured in order to awaken it. Following that moment, the lake transformed into a sphere that served as a portal to the creature's realm as it began its plan to enter into the normal universe. Galvatron, after being empowered by the Heart of Darkness, journeyed through the portal, where his unique energy caused D-Void to hunger for his spark. This caused a shaken Galvatron to flee back to the Gorlam Prime portal, where he decided to rally an army of Autobots and Decepticons to fight the emerging threat of D-Void, as it now intended to feast on Cybertron next. D-Void was known to had later returned the Spark of Nemesis Prime and remade him within the Dead Universe with the intention of sending him back to reclaim the Heart of Darkness from Galvatron. As such, he was deposited on the world of Dykayra from a portal. Battling against Galvatron's makeshift army, Nemesis Prime knocked them back with a great energy wave whereupon he drained them of their energy thus empowering him. As his body swelled in power, Nemesis Prime seemingly became an avatar for D-Void who used a fraction of its power to enter the universe whereupon he who declared that the mainstream universe would be his prey. Battling Galvatron, D-Void in Nemesis Prime's enlarged body overpowered his foe with the fight taking them to the portal. Thiking that Galvatron intended to use it to gain more power, D-Void was ready to bring the killing blow only to see his enemy smiling. After asking him why he was smiling, Galvatron revealed that he intended to only delay D-Void whilst his full army arrived with their combined firepower knocking D-Void back into the portal into the Dead Universe. Galvatron then destroyed the portal and though Cyclonus believed they had won, it was revealed by Galvatron that they had only defeated the harbinger that used only a fraction of its power. He attempted to bring Optimus Prime to his side but the Autobot leader refused and Galvatron thus decided to make his first line of defense at Cybertron as he knew that was where D-Void intended to strike.
