Fragments of the old realms explode, creating whichever universe is totally up to you.

The universe is the sum total of all that exists. The core of the universe is sentient.

There are untold numbers of other universes differing from each other at wildly varying levels. Black holes can act as gateways between these universes.

The tiny leftover fragments that he missed reacted in an explosion that created the universe. The sentient core of the universe sensed that Unicron was a threat to its existence, so it created Primus to oppose him. The Void!

The Autobot Star Saber is claimed to be the greatest swordsman in the universe. Quite how they checked that is unknown.
