Dinotron (BM)
- Dinotron is a Dinobot from the Beast Machines portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Dinotron is the warrior most likely to give T-Wrecks a headache. To put it frankly, his attitude sucks. Bull-headed, aggressive, and uncooperative are the best words to describe him. Added to that, he's less than thrilled with the new technorganic dinosaur form the Oracle has granted him. Thankfully for the Dinobots, he likes Megatron's vision for a "pure" Cybertron even less.
Fiction
The Wreckers comic
The Dinobots were sent to the planet Arkus by the Oracle in order to awaken the "sleeping giant" for a mysterious purpose. However, the mission was a fool's errand, arranged by the Quintessons and designed to destroy the Dinobots; the planet was the world where one of their most dangerous creations ever remained a prisoner, the energy-draining Trans-Organic creature known as the Dweller. Betrayal
He survived, as did T-Wrecks, Triceradon, and Terranotron. They met up with Devcon at Spaceport CSSB-16 and chose to join him. Disclosure Along with Reptron, the group boarded their ship and returned to Cybertron, which they realized was the Quintessons' target. Upon arrival, Dinotron and the others happily helped the population against the invading forces. The Wreckers: Finale Part 1
Faced with the Sharkticon hordes, Dinotron and his fellow Dinobots held the line alone for the entire eastern front on Cybertron. Dinotron introduced the idea of keeping score for enemy kills during the war. Although T-Wrecks found it tacky, Triceradon and the eager little Reptron got in on the action. Dinobots competing for kill points... the Sharkticons didn't stand a chance. Wreckers: Finale Part II
Toys
Beast Machines

- Dinotron (Deluxe, 2000)
- Accessories: Spinning blade, sword
- Dinotron is a redeco of the Beast Wars Neo Destron Hardhead, himself a retool of Beast Wars Dinobot into a pachycephalosaur. Despite the toys not looking like it, all of the Beast Machines Dinobots are intended to be technorganic. (Then again, Dinotron doesn't much look like a pachycephalosaur, so hey.)
- Opening his dino-mode jaw pops up his skullcap slightly, and using his head as a battering ram pushes down the skullcap and closes his jaw. His tail detaches and separates to form a gear-powered spinning-blade weapon, while the central "tail bone" separates to be used as a sword. The entire assembly can store in robot mode by flipping down the tail-mount and pegging the blade's base to the peg on his lower back.
- The original version of this mold was also used to make Beast Wars Grimlock, and was extensively retooled to make Beast Wars II Thrustor.
