Hooray, we can do it without some masked strange guy!

London is the capital city of the United Kingdom, located in the south of England and home to around eight million people (and also a big clock). Unlike some other major cities on Earth, London managed to avoid too much major Transformer activity in the 1980s.

And then came Generation 2...

Fiction

Marvel Generation 1 comics continuity

Marvel Generation 1 comics

London contains the headquarters for Action Force's European branch.

Megatron (or a clone thereof) was teleported underneath London, and roamed about ancient Roman sewers until he was encountered by Susan Hoffman & her team. Both Action Force and the Autobots turned up to investigate, and the two teams had to work together to stop Megatron as he tore through the London Docklands. Eventually Centurion gave his life to stop the Decepticon, but not before widespread destruction to the area had been caused. Ancient Relics!

Richard Branson would later salvage Megatron and Centurion's bodies from the River Thames as a publicity stunt - making it easier for the Seacons to capture them. Salvage!

Fleetway Generation 2 comic

Bludgeon and his Decepticon army attacked London en masse to attract Optimus Prime - both two Autobot units and an upgraded Megatron were drawn into the fray. The devastation caused to London was immense; the death toll and long-term effects are unknown. At one point, the Skyscorchers were seen bombing Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. War Without End War Zone

Marvel Generation 2 comic

London got blown to frag by the Decepticons as part of their global onslaught. The Gathering Darkness

The Headmasters cartoon

London, England. Home of the mother of parliaments. Once the hub of empire and now a domicile for the world's greatest secret agent.

Sixshot arrived in London in wolf form, threatening to destroy the country unless it gave him all its energy. Britain was one of several countries he was blackmailing until the Trainbots stopped him. Unfortunately, they stopped him after he'd smashed up London. Terror! The Six Shadows

Super-God Masterforce cartoon

Decepticon Godmaster jets Hydra and Buster had fun zooming over London. Also, there is a single "London Airport" instead of London Gatwick, London Stansted and London Heathrow. God, the tourist trade must have been crapped up by Sixshot... Super Warriors - The Godmaster Brothers

Cybertron cartoon

Starscream's Ancient Decepticon army swarmed over the city, spreading panic. Invasion
