This character has no official visual representation in any Transformers product or media... yet, at least.

Ultra Magnus is an evil and treacherous Autobot. He is Optimus Prime's kid brother. Like many other Autobots, he has plans to take over the faction, though his current forced exile on Paradron might make further attempts difficult. Cyclonus hates him with a passion, for reasons unknown, even joining the Decepticons just to oppose him. Magnus longs to take over as Prime, resenting his big brother with a passion.

Fiction

Shattered Glass

At one point, Ultra Magnus led an attempted coup against Optimus Prime, with Hound and Blurr as his only known supporters, though Hound was reportedly a link between Magnus and Alpha Trion. SG Hound's magazine profile When the coup failed, Prime had Magnus exiled to Paradron as punishment. SG Cyclonus' magazine profile

While trapped with Sideswipe in the maze leading to the Omega Terminus chamber, Blurr referred to Cliffjumper as a "traitorous lunatic". Sideswipe countered by saying that Blurr was one to talk, and asked how Ultra Magnus was doing. Blurr said Magnus was doing "better than Drench", at least. Dungeons & Dinobots

Notes

  • In "Eye in the Sky", Rodimus mentions a battle for leadership between Optimus and his brother that had Prime coming out on top (he cheated, of course). Despite previous instances, there is no canonical evidence yet that the brother was Magnus.
