Sideswipe says he is the best swordsman in the universe. He also claims to be the secret weapon of the Autobots except that the Decepticons know about him. His hobby is sharpening his swords. And Sideswipe's biggest fear is anything his swords can't cut through. He claims that that's nothing.

During the holiday season, Sideswipe and Optimus Prime sneaked a Bumblebee Kre-O set into Megatron's pile of presents, so Bumblebee could surprise the Decepticon leader. They later went and did the same to Starscream. A Gift For Megatron

- Sideswipe can be built in either robot or G1 inspired car mode.
- Like many other Kre-O sets, his stock photography shows a different robot mode construction than the final product. The most noticeable example are his lower legs which have a much less awkward construction in the stock photos rather than the final product which is rather odd. Whether this is the photographer taking creative liberty or if the set design changed is yet to be seen.
